Clinically, Dr. Sauro practices general primary care and is looking to bring a wealth of personal and professional experience to his patients. Dr. Sauro agrees with our moto and has stated,

Dr. Sauro was born in Toronto, Canada where he grew up playing competitive ice hockey and rugby. He is a graduate of the University of Toronto where he double majored in Biology and Neuroscience. He obtained his medical degree at Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland. He has fond memories and experiences from his time abroad and loves to share stories; so, feel free to ask!
In 2018, Dr. Sauro moved to Peoria for residency training in Family Medicine was at University of Illinois Chicago and its affiliated UnityPoint Health – Methodist Hospital. Dr. Sauro enjoys being involved within the Peoria community where he plays hockey with OSF’s Mighty Docs and participates annually within the local St. Jude’s Hospital Charity hockey game against the Peoria Fire Department.
Dr. Sauro enjoys working hard with his patients and prides himself in caring for all, from newborn to grandparents. He is excited to be part of the Solvera Health medical family where they are looking to bring hospitality to healthcare. Dr. Sauro enjoys building strong rapport with patients to help them as they establish their healthcare goals and needs. In fact, Dr. Sauro jokes with his clinical staff that he requires a timed door-knocking as he’s typically engaged with his patients.
