Audiology is the study of hearing, its disorders, and the rehabilitation of individuals with these impairments.

What do Audiologists do?

Audiologists hold a Master’s or Doctoral degree in audiology and can evaluate an individual’s hearing to determine the nature and extent of hearing loss, make medical referrals if necessary, and provide appropriate treatments.

Learn More About Audiology

Jennifer Meyer

Dr. Jennifer Meyer is an audiologist at Solvera Health, serving both pediatric and adult patients. She specializes in diagnostic hearing evaluations, hearing aids, cochlear implants, and audiologic rehabilitation. She is originally from Montana, and she earned her Bachelor of Science, Communication Sciences and Disorders from Minot State University (Minot, ND). She received her Doctor of Audiology degree from Illinois State University (Normal, IL).

Her favorite part of audiology is being able to form a meaningful connection with patients and families in need of services at Solvera Health. To ensure the patients’ needs are cared for at all levels, she is actively involved in her state audiology association where she serves as a member on the board of the Illinois Academy of Audiology. Additionally, she holds her Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.

Outside of work, Dr. Meyer enjoys spending time traveling with her husband and 2 young children. They live an active lifestyle, with kickboxing being at the forefront of her nightly routine.
